Welcome! 👋 We believe in keeping things simple and transparent.

By working with Leonix Agency (paying a deposit, signing a proposal, or confirming a project), you agree to these terms. We've written them in plain English so you know exactly what to expect.

1. What We Do

Leonix provides creative and digital services including:

  • Website Design & Development – Custom websites, e-commerce, WordPress sites
  • Branding & Design – Logos, brochures, signage, promotional materials
  • Digital Marketing & SEO – Getting you found online
  • Domain & Hosting – Setup and configuration assistance
  • Ongoing Support – Website maintenance and updates

Every project starts with a written proposal or quotation that outlines exactly what we'll deliver, when, and how much it costs.

2. How Projects Work

Starting Your Project:

  • We send you a detailed proposal with scope, timeline, and pricing
  • You review and approve (or we adjust based on your feedback)
  • You pay a 50% deposit to secure your spot
  • We start work and keep you updated throughout
  • You review and provide feedback at key milestones
  • We deliver the final product
  • You pay the remaining 50% balance
  • We hand everything over and provide training if needed

📅 Typical Timelines:

• Basic websites: 7–14 days
• Custom websites: 3–5 weeks
• E-commerce or complex projects: 5–8 weeks

Timelines depend on the project complexity and how quickly you can provide feedback and content.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

Our Pricing Model:

  • Package-based pricing – We quote a fixed price for the entire project based on your needs
  • All-inclusive packages – One price covers the full scope of work outlined in your proposal
  • No hourly billing for the main project – you know exactly what you'll pay upfront
  • GST: We are not currently GST-registered, so no GST is added to our prices

Payment Structure:

  • 50% deposit – Due before work begins (non-refundable)
  • 50% balance – Due when the project is complete, before final handover
  • Payment due: Within 14 days of invoice date
  • Payment methods: Bank transfer, credit card, or online payment

⚠️ Late Payments:

Invoices not paid within 14 days will incur a 2% monthly interest charge. We may also suspend work on current projects until payment is received. Seriously overdue accounts may be referred to a collection agency, and you'll be responsible for any collection costs and legal fees.

Additional Work: Any work outside the agreed package scope is charged at $115 per hour. We'll always get your approval before doing any extra work that will cost more.

4. Revisions & Changes

We want you to love the final result! Each project includes a set number of revisions:

  • Logo/Branding: 3 revision rounds
  • Website Design: 2–3 revision rounds (depending on package)
  • Content Changes: Minor text/image swaps included

What's a "revision round"? A consolidated set of feedback submitted at one time (not individual changes sent separately over days or weeks).

Additional Work: Anything beyond the agreed scope or included revisions will be quoted separately. This includes:

• Extra pages or features
• Major design changes after approval
• New functionality requests
• Additional integrations

We'll always get your approval before doing any extra work that will cost more. Additional work is typically charged at $115/hour.

5. Your Responsibilities

To keep your project on track, we need you to:

  • Provide content – Text, images, logos, and information (we can help source stock images if needed)
  • Give timely feedback – We'll ask for your input at key stages; please respond within 7 days
  • Make decisions – Appoint someone on your team who can approve work
  • Provide access – To existing websites, domain accounts, hosting, etc. when needed
  • Own your content – Make sure you have the rights to all materials you provide to us

🕐 Important: If we don't hear back from you within 7 days of delivering work for review, we'll assume you're happy with it and the project will be marked as complete. This helps us keep projects moving!

6. Ownership & Copyright

Once you've paid in full, it's all yours! Full ownership of the final deliverables (designs, website files, code we created) transfers to you.

Before full payment: Everything remains our property. We hold onto the work until the invoice is settled.

Third-party stuff: Some elements like premium plugins, themes, stock photos, or fonts might have their own licenses. We'll let you know if there are any ongoing fees or restrictions.

Our portfolio: We're proud of our work! Unless you specifically ask us not to, we may showcase your completed project on our website, social media, and in case studies. We'll always present your business in a professional light.

7. Support & Warranty

We've got your back! All projects include post-launch support:

  • Basic websites: 30 days of support
  • Advanced websites: 60 days of support
  • E-commerce sites: 90 days of support

Support includes:

  • Fixing any bugs or issues with our work
  • Minor adjustments and tweaks
  • Basic training on how to use your website
  • Answering questions via email

✨ After Support Ends: We're still here! Ongoing maintenance, updates, and new features are available through:

• Pay-as-you-go hourly support ($115/hour)
• Monthly maintenance packages
• New project agreements

8. Hosting & Third-Party Services

We help set things up, but we don't control third-party services like:

  • Web hosting providers (uptime, speed, security)
  • Domain registrars
  • Payment gateways
  • Email services
  • Social media platforms

These services have their own terms, fees, and reliability. We'll recommend good providers and help with setup, but we can't guarantee their performance or be held responsible for their issues.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable – once work begins, the deposit is earned. This compensates us for:

  • Initial planning and strategy
  • Blocking out time in our schedule
  • Turning away other potential projects
  • Any work completed to that point

If you cancel mid-project: You'll need to pay for all work completed to date. We'll invoice you for:

  • Any completed milestones or deliverables
  • Work in progress (pro-rated)
  • Any third-party costs already incurred (domains, licenses, hosting setup fees, stock assets purchased)

If we cancel: We'd only do this if payments aren't made or if there's been a serious breach of our agreement. You'd get any work completed to that point (after outstanding invoices are paid).

10. Important Legal Stuff

Limitation of Liability: We work hard to deliver excellent results, but we can't control everything. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us for your project. We're not liable for indirect damages like lost profits or business interruption.

Your Content: You're responsible for making sure everything you provide to us (text, images, logos) doesn't violate anyone else's rights. If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, you agree to cover those costs.

Consumer Guarantees Act: If you're engaging us for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 doesn't apply (as permitted by law).

Privacy: We handle your information in line with New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020. We only use your data for project delivery, billing, and support. We never sell your information.

Governing Law: These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Both parties agree to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.

11. Questions or Issues?

If something's not working right or you're not happy, please let us know! We want to make things right.

Our Process:

  • Contact us first – most issues can be resolved quickly
  • If needed, we'll arrange a call or meeting to discuss
  • For serious disputes, we'll try mediation before legal action
